Lenten Day of Reflection - Out of the Desert: Into Spiritual Freedom and Ministry |
9:45 am - 2:00 pm |
| St. Peter's is hosting a Lenten Day of Reflection on Saturday, March 17th led by Sister Ellen Stephen from the Convent of St. Helena (an Episcopal convent in Augusta, Georgia). The theme of the day is: “Out of the Desert: Into Spiritual Freedom and Ministry.” Give yourself a special treat this year during Lent, particularly if you have never participated in a Quiet Day of Prayer and Reflection.
Sister Ellen Stephen--she prefers to go by ES--will offer three meditations during the day, based upon Jesus' three temptations in the desert. She will explore Jesus' reflection and discernment about his life's meaning and mission. You will have time between the meditations to read, pray, walk the labyrinth, write in a journal or whatever else might be meaningful as you reflect on Jesus' temptations and upon your own life experience.
There is no charge for attending, but we will be asking for RSVP's in order to make plans for lunch.
